Support and interest in transformative change in the criminal justice system is at an all-time high nationally. And in many jurisdictions, this support is also politically bi-partisan. The 2015 NASC conference will feature presentations that focus on the role of sentencing commissions in helping to promote policy change through data driven decision making. By collecting and analyzing data about sentencing decisions and outcomes, sentencing commissions can actively ensure that their research supports well-informed policy decisions that are designed to achieve desired results.
The conference will open with a reception on Sunday, August 16th at 5:00 p.m. Substantive sessions will be held all day Monday and Tuesday.
